Moscow State University, officially known as Moscow State Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov University, also known as Moscow State Lomonosov University, abbreviated as Moscow University, Moscow University. The predecessor was the Moscow Imperial University, initiated and founded by Tsarist Russian educator Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov in 1755.
